Hi friends!
This blogpost was saved in my drafts folder from last month like many other pending posts but did not get time to publish it.Today I checked it and finally got time to publish.
In this post I will share my outfit I wore on Karwa Chauth last month.Karwa Chauth is a very special day for all the ladies as we pray for long life of our husband and we keep long-day fast for the same.We do puja and dress up in red attire as it is considered auspicious. When I was a kid,I used to see my mother keeping fast for my papa’s long life and I really loved watching her performing all these pujas. And when I kept fast on Karwa Chauth I tried to follow all the rules of this fast, but I knew I cant be hungry for more hours as I keep eating after every three -four hours, but I tried my not to eat best on this day.
On this day all married women do SOLAH SHRINGAAR which includes applying henna on hands, wearing red bangles, bindi, sindoor, anklets, earrings, toerings, neckpiece, hair oil, flowers, perfume, red nail paint and many more.
Its a special feeling when we fast for someone’s long life and pray to Goddess for good health of our loved one.But I after my fast was over and I ate double food as I was so hungry :D.Now lets see what I wore on Karwa Chauth. At the time of puja I wore a plain red kurti. And then I wore this red long dress with belt.
One day before I went out for lots of shopping like buying decorated channi which is used on this day to see the moon and other items. Then I got henna applied on my hands. The mehandi turned out to be so dark
